Folding Arm Awning Options
We have 4 options available.
Option 1
Standard Type – The Australia Awning
This option can be face-mounted to a wall, ceiling mounted under the eave or installed under the gutter through the facia and connected to the roof rafters with a Colourbond pelmet to match your guttering.
This option can be fitted in a variety of ways to ensure you have the right amount of room and coverage required. This awning also offers an adjustable feature called “variable pitch” allowing the awning to be adjusted for both summer and winter conditions.
Option 2
Semi Cassette – The Global 2020
One of our best sellers.
This sleek semi-Cassette awning has a modern design. Protected from the weather with aa aluminium hood and broad front bar. It can also have a projection of 4.1m which gives maximum coverage. An affordably priced awning with a modern appearance.
This option has all the benefits of The Australia Awning with a larger front bar. When retracted it gives the appearance and looks of a full cassette by concealing the arms and material.
Option 3
Full Cassette – The Armony Plus
This option has a fully enclosed casing. When retracted the casing completely hides and protects the entire unit. Making for a beautiful, ultra-minimal and clean design.

Operation Choices
Depending on which option of awning you choose, folding arm awnings are available with either a manual crank operation or the very popular remote control motorised operation and adjustable pitch control.

Crank handle to extend and retract.
Motorised
Effortless operation using either a switch, remote control, smartphone or voice control using Google Home or Alexa. They are the easiest way to quickly open and close your awning in the most convenient and efficient way.
Extras
State of the art wind, sun and rain sensors.
A1 Blinds motorised awnings comply with Australian standards. All orders are supplied with an Australian electrical certificate of compliance, your guarantee of the highest quality workmanship. By using our electrician, all works including the motor and wiring are covered by our lifetime warranty.
FAQ
What type of operations are available?
- Remote control. These include 1 channel, 2 channel, 5 channel and 16 channel. Having multiple channel remotes allows several blinds/awnings to operated either individually or as a group.
- WiFi. Operate blinds via a smartphone or tablet. With accessories such as Alexa or Google Home, blinds can now be operated by voice commands taking simplicity to another level. All WiFi operated blinds have the option to preset times and can be operated anywhere, from your home, your office, wherever you have access to WiFi.
Do I have to find my own electrician?
A1 Blinds provide a complete package with all our products and motorisation is no different.
All our blinds are wired by our A-Grade electrician and you’re provided with a certificate of compliance guaranteeing the job has been completed to Australian standards and Australian law.
What if there’s an issue with the motor, who do I call?
All motorisation is covered under our lifetime warranty. If there’s an issue, we don’t ask you to contact the maker of the motor directly or pay extra for an electrician to come out. We inspect the blinds under warranty saving you time and money.
